According to Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2025, Scottsdale has seen a staggering 125% increase in millionaires over the past decade. As of 2024, 14,800 millionaires now call Scottsdale home. That’s more than double what the city had ten years ago, and it puts Scottsdale ahead of major U.S. and international destinations—only Shenzhen, China, saw a higher rate of growth.
But it’s not just about millionaires.
Scottsdale is now home to 64 centimillionaires (with a net worth of $100 million or more) and 5 billionaires, making up a third of all billionaires in the state of Arizona. When compared with 27 other global wealth hubs—including West Palm Beach, the Bay Area, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and Washington, D.C.—Scottsdale’s growth is unmatched in the U.S. outside of Texas.
This wealth surge is unmistakably reflected in Scottsdale’s luxury housing market. Even with a recent market cool-down, the demand for high-end properties remains strong. Top-tier buyers from across the country are relocating to the Valley, and leading luxury real estate firms from places like New York are opening offices here to get in on the action. Wealth management and banking firms are also following the money, expanding their presence to serve the growing number of high-net-worth residents.
