How do commissions and buyer-agent compensation work now?
Commissions are negotiable. As of Aug. 17, 2024, compensation is disclosed and negotiated directly in the contract—not advertised in the MLS. Sellers can still offer buyer-agent compensation. I’ll advise you based on your goals, the current market and buyer pool.
Should I offer buyer-agent compensation?
Offering it can expand your buyer pool. If it’s not offered, that’s okay; we simply evaluate buyer demand, affordability and net impact. I’ll review both options with you before you decide.
How long does it take to sell?
